You can reach Prince of Wales Island by car and passenger ferry all the way from Bellingham
Washington. In Bellingham you would board the Alaska Marine Highway to Ketchikan and then transfer to the Inter-Island Ferry for your trip to our island. Thorne Bay lies 59 miles from Hollis on the Prince of Wales Island road system. Thirty miles of your drive will be paved and the remainder is improved gravel roads.

 Alaskan Flying Adventure:
The first leg of your Alaskan Flying Adventure is to fly into Ketchikan on Alaska Airlines. After arriving in Ketchikan you fly Pacific Airways or Promech Airlines that provide daily scheduled floatplane flights to Thorne Bay.
